Wandering Clueless in 20s

The twenties are an amazing time in life and no doubt confusing. You get out of college at around 21-22, and you’re geared up for life. You really believe you know everything. You’re “grown up now”; after all, you’ve graduated from college and you think you’re ready for the big world. You have dreams. You have aspirations. You think you know what you want for a career. For most of us it is the first time that we are truly on our own and free to choose our own path. It is an age where we essentially get to start with a clean canvas and begin painting the type of life we have dreamed of since childhood. It is an opportune time to try new things, new jobs, develop new habits and enjoy the lifestyle that comes with having little responsibility and endless amounts of energy.
No matter who you were in college -- whether you were great with women, a great athlete or the smartest person in your class -- you go out into the real world and realize that you’re at the bottom of the totem pole again. It’s like starting from scratch.
You get your ass kicked throughout your 20s. You get your ass kicked in your career. You have to learn to deal with people who are a lot smarter and more experienced than you -- people who have been around the block, and people who know the game and know how to play it very well.
In your 20s, you’re expected to know what you want to be, but unless you are a Doctor or a lawyer, u'll end up doing the jobs you never thought u'll have to do.
The twenties are the years of life where u don't have much of the responsibilities but enormous amount of energy to fulfill your dreams. The energy bursting inside you pushes you to achieve everything you have ever desired. You want to be a rockstar, a writer, an painter, and the things keep on adding depending upon whom you get impressed with. Thats not all. In case you are doing a job and you have no plans to make a career out of it, then another thing you worry about is- what the hell are you going to do in life and where will you get settled? That haunts you day and night as you need to decide it soon as you have to get married also. You will soon get responsibilities to deal with, you can't remain a kid for long as soon you will be having yours.
You can't just exhaust your energy trying hands on each and every thing you want. In order to harness the energy bursting inside you, you need to learn how to make trade-offs in life. I heard it somewhere- 'sometimes its better to let it go'.
This is what I could figure out after a thought process of four and a half hours that we need to learn to set our priorities right in order not to regret wasting the enormous amount of energy we have in this adult adolescence phase of life.
Do let me know in case you have the solution for the problem which I believe haunts everyone of us in their 20s.
